2013 United Nations International Day of Peace – 21 September 2013
Eighty Karen Buddhists, Muslims and Christians met at Hanging Rock mountain, halfway between Melbourne and Bendigo, for UN International Day of Peace.
The day started with a barbeque picnic lunch
Team building activities got people from different communities to interact
The group walked to the top of Hanging Rock mountain
Imam Hasin led Islamic prayers for peace in Burma and the world
Pastor Newton Daddow led Christian prayers
Venerable Moonieinda recited prayers in Pali
Venerable Gontug Rinpoche recited the Mantra of Great Compassion
